Inside the library are shelves and shelves of goodies for sale at remarkable prices. Make your selection, deposit what you’d like to pay (please be generous), and hurry home to start reading. Ten Meals in Ten Minutes–Perfect Entrees for Any Weeknight
Join Chef Warren as he shares 10 delicious entrees that you can prepare in 10 minutes using items you probably already have on hand. By featuring a handful of main ingredients, he will show how you can make 10 different and delicious meals. Chef Warren will also share dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking for two.
Chef Warren ends the presentation with a cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy 10-minute entrée that anyone can replicate in their own home.

Travel down Route 50 in central Nevada which was named America’s Loneliest Road by a journalist in the 1970’s. Learn about the real Old West, ruby and gold mining, ghost towns, rock carvings, weird weather, wild horses, the Pony Express, Lake Lahotan, and the fabulous Eureka Opera House.

About the Artist
Jerry Bickel—puppeteer, singer, storyteller, and one-man cast—has delighted audiences
worldwide. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Career Award in Children’s/Youth Theatre
from the Florida Theatre Conference and has performed across Europe, Asia, and South
America. A master of classic puppetry techniques, Bickel blends tradition with imagination to
create legendary experiences for children and families.

Steel Rails to the Sunshine State: Henry Flagler and the Railroad that Built Florida — AMERICA 250
In this dynamic lecture, journey back with historian Christopher Daley to the Gilded Age and discover how Henry Flagler, co-founder of Standard Oil, transformed Florida’s coasts with his bold vision. His Florida East Coast Railway did not just build tracks—it built cities, from Palm Beach to Miami and all the way to Key West. You will hear how Flagler’s crews overcame hurricanes, swamps, and engineering challenges to connect the Sunshine State. Learn how alliances with figures like Julia Tuttle helped turn Miami into a booming city. Flagler’s grand hotels and infrastructure helped shape Florida into a winter retreat and global destination.
Author of books and numerous articles, Christopher Daley holds a B.A. and an M.A. from Bridgewater State University in Political Science and History. He was formerly the President of the Pembroke Historical Society and Chairman of the Pembroke Historical Commission. He was also a docent at the John Alden House Historic Site as well as Coordinator of Educational Outreach.

Featuring Puppetry, Storytelling, and American Folk Arts.
Puppeteer and storyteller Katie Adams weaves the heartwarming story of Johnny Appleseed from the early days of the United States. Puppets crafted like old-fashioned toys, a storyquilt, and traditional music are all part of the show. Each square of the storyquilt tells an episode in the life of Johnny Appleseed, a man who followed his own unique dream and showed respect for all life. For ages 4 to 10, 45 minutes.
